Jigging Hook Tying: My New Skill

After 1 day of try&error, i manage to tie my Gamaktsu Tuned #35 jig hook just like the pre-tied (light red in the middle). The dark red is tied using 200lb Varivas SS Assist Line and the yellow line is Sabpolo 300lb assist kevlar.
The pre-tied cost me RM16 each hook.
New self-tied --> Blank Gamakatsu #35 tuned hook = RM8 each (RM24 pack of 3), assist line=~RM2. solid ring=RM1, dental floss=free, superglue=free
Best thing is i can choose the length and the poundage of assist line.

Hoist The Colors

Hoist The Colors - Pirates of The Caribbean 3 OST

The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will well roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage...
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler's Green!

The bell has been raised
from it's watery grave...
Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

2007 May 5-12, Lhaviyani Atoll, Maldives

As with last year we booked Mas-Hibaru boat with Ibrahim as the captain. This year trip is very rough due to the monsoon. We arrive at the wrong date. If a week earlier the weather is excellent. Imagine to fish with 1-2.5 meter swells with "white-caps" everywhere. In-fact we waste one day of fishing due to the rough sea. Even the GT was not coorperating during rough weather. Few were caught the biggest GT 11kg. Biggest dogtooth 16kg. Biggest flower cod 10kg. Caught a sailfish, est weight 40-50kg with guess what...Yozuri Bonito. Near the boat, it cut the main line. As i say popping & trolling in this trip is very bad. Only jigging is great. We went to as 70-80meter drop-off and caught many groupers.
Alfi & Kamarul tested their new Fisherman 86RS & BigGame82, i really very impressed how the rod can cast 150-200g popper with out much effort. Better put the rod in my wish list....
